About Me
One day I will find the right words, and they will be simple.
I discovered my knack for writing as a mortgage loan processor. If you've ever gotten a loan, you know the underwriters ask you to explain every time you ever sneezed. I used to write those letters of explanation for my borrowers because the clearer the letter was, the more likely the underwriter would be satisfied. And a satisfied underwriter approves the loan.
Twenty years later, I am still working in real estate. I am the Special Projects Manager at a commercial real estate leasing firm. I am responsible for everything from editing legal language to writing the business succession plan. I still use the skills I honed as a mortgage processor to write clear, concise documents that make complex concepts easier to understand.
As you review this portfolio, you will find other skills I have gained through my academic career at Arizona State University, where I majored in Technical Communication and minored in Project Management.
